The room is very small, not confy at all. It's cheap, yeah and if you don't mind a 1 star hostal, It's a good option. However, not in the best neighborhood.
Staff pleasant and helpful. Management avoiding responsibility of maintaining a safe location and clearing away garbage. 2nd floor with no safety railings.
Unfortunately when we arrived at Hotel Miramar they had no information about our reservation. They had not heard of hotels.Com.
This was more of a hostel. Staff was very friendly and tried to help us, but they were sold out for the night.
Hotels.Com was also very helpful in sorting the situation out right away.
From what we saw of the lobby and one room, cleanliness was an issue. In the end we were happy to not stay here!
Thanks again to the hotels.Com team for helping to ensure we weren't charged for this room.
A very budget friendly option in Santa Marta. Great value for the price and in an excellent location, just 2 min walk from the seafront. Rooms are small but very clean. Nice lobby/communal area and friendly, helpful staff. Really good juice in the cafe downstairs too!

you get what you pay for
you totally get what you pay for. when you're staying that close to the beach for only $20 per night US, you can't expect the a Hyatt/Westin. What you do get is a very awesome experience with people from around the world and the hotel staff that will go way out of their way to help you with anything you need. If you're on a budget and don't mind people enjoying themselves nightly, you'll have a great time. The hotel staff is the best.
