It was a very good choice and had a very nice view I would recommend if you come to Santorini you must stay at the Volcano View Hotel perfect place to see the Sunset staff are helpful

Our only problem with our staff was that it was not long enough. The staff was excellent. They made us feel like we were the only people staying. The room was very nice, especially the bed. We have never sleep on a bed so comfortable.

Amazing view!

Pros: The view was unbelievable and the room was very comfortable. The pool was great and the people working there were very helpful.
Cons: The floor in our room felt dirty so we asked to have it cleaned again. Internet was spotty. More frequent shuttles to/from town.
Location: The location was superb in terms of getting the best view. There is a Shuttle into town 2 miles away.
I recently stayed here with my 2 adult daughters for 3 nights at the end of our cruise. We had never been to Santorini before and we really wanted the dome buildings and an amazing view. We were not disappointed! We had the grand suite, which was in the best location, had a huge balcony and a view that is just breathtaking. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean and the suite was perfect for the 3 of us. Every morning I opened the drapes and layed in bed staring at the incredible view of the caldera and ocean. The room came with breakfast every day which was a huge spread of food from eggs and waffles to traditional greek salads. The staff were very helpful and assisted us in getting taxis, restaurant recommendations and reservations and booking a catamaran tour.

Large commercial type with caldera view

Large hotel on the cliff edge with a caldera view but it's far from town! I was ok with the distance because they have a shuttle to town, however, the shuttle times are terrible (approx every 2 hours). The staff was nice but they don't go above and beyond. The AC took a long time to get cold. There were things broken in our room that I feel should be addressed in a hotel such as this. There was a huge luggage mix up when we left. Breakfast was excellent!!! Stay in town at a smaller hotel to better enjoy the experience!

great hotel, location, and accommodations

Pros: location, free shuttle, wait staff, tours, volcano view, three pools
Cons: better communication if the room is disconnected from the main hotel, longer pool hours (closed at sunset)
Location: great location away from hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy everything, donkey rides, sailing, wine tours, atv rentals all within the hotel
We came earlier in the day so had to wait a bit for the room to become available. Sometimes Tina and the girls at the front desk can become overwhelmed by everyone waiting for a room. During our stay I would just go there early in the day or late afternoon and on when they weren't so busy. Our room was a great size, clean, and with an amazing caldera view that is hard to beat. It was a little annoying because there was another hotel azzure suites in between our room and the main hotel. For this reason there was no other way to walk to the hotel except through the parking lot next to the main street. At first I was questioning how safe it was, but we settled on the room and made it work. I was surprised that the pool bar closed at 7 pm and the pools closed at sunset. At one point there were no more towels for the pool from the front desk. Pros: The front desk was very accommodating with the sailing tours, donkey rides, and giving information for the free shuttle to Fira. The free breakfast and Greek night on Thursdays was top notch with a great waitstaff. Massages are reasonably priced with the incredible view. There is nothing to complain about with that Santorini Sunset off your balcony which basically makes the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
