Four bedrooms, One king, One Queen, One XL Full and Two XL Twin beds , all upstairs two baths, one upstairs one on main level, laundry, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and Living room with TV. WiFi included. Walking distance to Fusion Market, Blue Moon Cafe' , Origin Coffee and all local shops, Casa Del Sol, Blue Line Brewery, Labella's restaurant, Grizel T's, Waterhole #3, DownHill Grill, Bitters and Bones, Mountain Mist, Fogarty's Marina just across the street, proposed all season trails also a block away, See the July 4th and Winter Carnival fireworks from the enclosed porches! the Perfect location for skiers, leaf peepers, girlfriend/sibling get away. Excellent for a fall weekend
The house is lovely, so nice for our family of 6. The kitchen is well-appointed, and the house has lots of great spaces for both being together and for quiet moments. The host was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed being close to town and to hiking trails, however the property is on a street with fairly noisy car sounds + light at all hours and the views are a bit blocked by the resort across the street. Other than that, though, we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely come back.

We loved our stay! The house is in a great location and exactly as advertised. We loved being close to Lake Placid but not right in Lake Placid. Excellent VRBO!

Great House!!!
We loved this house! Super cozy comfy and warm (it was -25 degrees for two of the days we visited). Every bed was slept in and every sleeper was happy with a warm comfy bed. Many conveniences were supplied in excess so that made the stay very convenient. The kids all had fun playing Clue and Monopoly on the super cold days. We watched Netflix at times but spend most of the time exploring both Lake Placid and Lake Saranac. We saw the fireworks from the driveway, walked over to the ice castle, and ate at the restaurant across the street who convenient sat us and 14 of our friends who were also in town staying at the BW. We watch the baggo tournament and chatted up a bunch of the locals. Such a great spot in a fun town. We were visiting for my oldest sons hockey tournament but stay a few extra days so that we could explore the area. What a beautiful place and wonderful time we had. This house was perfect. Stay here.

Fun trip
The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked. Super convenient location to Lake Placid and walking distance to Saranac Lake’s Main st. There were plenty of extra towels, linens, and blankets. Bedrooms are small, but each has plenty of storage space. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor with one bathroom. Second bathroom is on the first floor. Owner was super quick to respond to all our questions. All in all we had a great stay.

Beautiful home centrally located in Saranac Lake.
This is lovely older home, excellently kept and updated. The rooms are well equipped with anything a guest would need. Plenty of seating and room to spread out and relax with a large dining room and kitchen, living room and, my favorite…two screened-in porches. The host is very easy to reach with answers to questions before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Writer’s Block. The house is great and walking distance to so many places. The owner was super responsive and helpful. We look forward to visiting again.

Super clean and updated!
The property was better in person than the pics showed online. Everything was super clean and updated. Convenient to walking in town and worked out perfect for us being directly across from the wedding venue. Our host was very responsive to our questions. We also loved the outdoor space with corn hole and can jam! Would definitely recommend.
