This charming property is only about 2km from the airport, making it ideal for a quick getaway. The hotel is full of charm, including two separate lounge areas, one including a full bar. The property also runs a small restaurant (where the complimentary breakfast is served) that is also outstanding for dinner, offering price fixe menu. The views of the River Shannon are beautiful. I highly recommend The Carrygerry Country House.

Very relaxing for a last night stay in Ireland. Enjoyed a lively dinner in the gazebo area. Staff very accommodating

Beautiful setting, amazing food. Only thought would be blinds to close at night. The room we had faced some obnoxius lights across the field.

This country house is amazing in its location, service, hospitality and food. We enjoyed several meals during our stay and were awed by the whole experience. The lamb was one of the best meals we have ever had anywhere. Niall and Gillian are exceptional hosts.

Great Ireland experience

Initially made the reservation because it was close to Shannon Airport. We were pleasantly surprised by not only the location but by the professionalism of the staff Came in later in the day but were warmly welcomed and brought to our room in this great guest house. We arrived in time to enjoy a great dinner and able to settle into our room for the night. Service and room during the stay were exceptional. Would definitely recommend for anyone stay at some point during their Ireland holiday

Excellent and cool for Shannon Airport access

Pros: Ambiance, historic, bar and restaurant on site, grounds, proximity to airport.
Cons: Beds are not the most comfortable, but nothing major.
Location: Bunratty Castle, The Burren
We (family of four) stayed here our last night to be close to the airport and were pleased. It's an old building, but very nice inside, with very quaint rooms and beautiful bathrooms. The restaurant is a bonus. They have very tasty higher end food. The area is beautiful and you wouldn't realize you're right by the airport unless you happen to see a plane climbing in the distance. It's 10 minutes to the rental return counter. Great value and something much cooler than a random airport hotel.

This was a great place to stay for people who are renting a car and need to stick close to get used to it. Rent a GPS also is recommended and worked out great on our trip. Staff was top notch and their dinner was excellent. Our only complaint was that we stayed on our first night and last night, and dinner was not available on the last night! LOL! We would have loved to have a 2nd meal!!
