We chose to stay here because of the proximity to Heathrow and because of the Marriott name. We will choose someplace else next time. The room was ok but had a strange smell that I couldn't place. Once we got settled and actually opened the door to the bathroom there was an overpowering cigarette smell. It immediately clicked that the smell I couldn't place when we first walked in was the ozone treatment they attempted to take care of the cigarette smell. When I went to the front desk and politely informed them of the issue they wanted us to vacate the room so they could use ozone on it again. We were already settled after traveling by train all day and needed to catch an early flight the next morning so moving rooms or vacating so they could treat a smell was a little out of bounds. They never offered to discount the room. I had to bring it up but since I booked through Travelocity they couldn't offer any sort of compensation. In addition, the hotel is worn and a little run down with respect to details (signage, exterior, etc). They also didn't offer up any sort of free transport to the airport. Overall, very disappointing. I hope Marriott addresses what appear to be glaring issues at this establishment.

the only reason i won't recommend this is it wasn't useful for the purpose. PLUS the description is deceptive. It is expensive to stay there for a night b4 flying out of Heathrow. There is no shuttle (free or paid). We flew from Ireland to Heathrow the night b4 our flight. I did a search for hotels w/ shuttle service. So, we could take a shuttle from the terminal to the hotel and back again the next day. This wasn't the case. Of course I didn't find out until the day of the flight. I ended up paying $63 sterling in cab fares on top of the room rate for the hotel room. It was not worth it at all. So, for the Heathrow flight purpose don't bother.

Concierge tried to scam us.

Hotel was family-friendly & breakfast was great. However, room hadn't been vaccumed, paper under glasses in bathroom was brown and obviously re-used. The £5 bus only goes to one Heathrow Terminal. Plan accordingly: Budget 20-extra minutes if you need to use the free Express train between Terminals. The concierge was deceitful. He tried very hard to book us a cab for £25 by misleading us about the bus, and intentionnally trying for force us to sit down when the bus came! Even the bus driver rolled his eyes at the concierge when I asked him about the trip. I believe the concierge wanted a kickback from a cabbie, and it would've cost us £19 extra.

in the vicinity of Heathrow

Pros: Clean, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Warn about airport connections and wifi charges.
Location: Did not have much time to judge or explore.
Excellent hotel, helpful staff. It is difficult to get to by public transport. I moved there from Central London Hotel to be closer to Heathrow for an 8 AM flight. I had planned to take Tube to Heathrow Terminal 5 and then the Hotel Hoppa to the hotel. There were problemswith the Tube so it took 2.5 hours to get from Green Park to Heathrow terminal 3. It was 12:30 am by this the train connecting terminals was closed. Had to take a taxi from Terminal hour later and 40 pounds....and I was there. By the time I got checked in, retrieved my luggage, resettled....I only had about 3 hours at the hotel before having to leave by Hotel Hoppa to get back to the airport. Staff was helpful, I got my two wake up calls as requested. Room was comfortable....but there was a charge for WiFi in the room that I was not informed about when booking or checking in. THey did remove charges for that. I would stay again.....but might look for a hotel with easier connections to Heathrow. The hotel hoppa was on time but its last pick up at Terminal 5 is 11:30pm and starts again at 5:00 am. 9 pounds round trip for the Hoppa.

Great Stay!

Close to Airport and has a shuttle to airport. The rooms are clean and housekeeping was great. Some of the receptionists were very helpful and some were arrogant. The hotel was far from central London, but a bus ride to the train station and the express train to London Paddington made it easy to travel to central London. There weren't many choices of restaurants around the hotel. The restaurants inside the hotel was busy at night and it was a little pricey. Overall, I would stay here again because it was clean.

A great place to unwind

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
The HeathrowWindsor Marriott Hotel was very nice. The Staff was friendly efficient and very helpfull. The room was quiet and clean (albeit a little small - but to be expected in Europe). Price was a little hefty (also to be expected). Near enough for a short Taxi ride to the Slough train station for the trip to London. Do not take a Taxi from Heathrow to the Marriot! Purchase tickets (4 pounds each) For the "Hoppa"

The front desk staff provides wrong information for every question we have asked. They should be retrained to handle to their customers

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
No free internet access, this should be a standard not an option. The front desk staff are not friendly, besides provide wrong information which caused us a lot of problem. They should be retrained or replaced with someone who is more professional.

I was satisfied

Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast
Fine overall, however internet service should be free included in the room fee. Also, during my stay there was a indian wedding. People were very noisy and the children were allowed to run back and forth. It was very uncomfortable.

A Great Experience

Pros: Quiet, great price for room
Cons: No free Internet
I loved my stay at the London Marriott Heathrow Windsor hotel! The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel was beautiful! I also got my room for an excellent price! The hotel is very convenient to Heathrow airport (about 10 minutes from the airport) and to the underground railway station. I highly recommend this hotel.
