Surrounded by the beautiful central Pennsylvania mountains, the Cramer Family Mountain Inn sits in the center of town and just 2 miles from I-80. If visiting for ATV/UTV riding, utilize street legal access to Snow Shoe Rails right from the Suite. Or, take advantage of the easy drive to Penn State (just 25 minutes) while staying place to use as your home-base when you're adventuring!
The Kelley Suite is the largest space within the home and is accessible from the ground level via a private entrance. One step is required to enter the suite from the patio. It is named after the original owners, Logan M. Kelley Sr. & Alice C. Kelley, who purchased the property on July 1, 1914 and then built the home some time before 1917. Relax in the bedroom/living room with a queen bed, loveseat, chair, smart HDTV & electric fireplace or venture to the private patio to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Enter through the expansive original etched glass French doors with one step up to access to the kitchenette with a vintage cast-iron sink, retro mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee station, dishes, glasses, etc. This suite offers a private modern bathroom with tub/shower behind the sliding barn door. Also provided is a desk space should remote work be necessary.
In addition to the modern conveniences (bedding, towels, dinnerware and silverware, griddle, toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower wash and soap, etc.) the space is stocked with continental breakfast type foods like: cereals, oatmeal, bread, eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee, tea, water, etc. Within the Kitchenette space there’s a desk with a charging station for remote work and a table with 2 chairs for meals or games.
FYI: This suite can accommodate an twin or queen air mattress and pack & play (available upon request) for additional guests if needed and for an additional $30.
To enter the Kelley Suite's private entrance, please use the sidewalk that goes around the side of the house (to the left of the front door) for accessing the private side porch. You will receive the door keypad code the morning prior to check-in.
In addition, all guests have access to the quiet side yard. Feel free to relax by the fire at the fire pit or try your hand at a game of cornhole. There’s also a picnic table should having a meal alfresco be of interest.
Lastly, all guests can enjoy the expansive front porch that is decked out with seating and tables for enjoying the traffic, mountain sounds, and small town conversation.
For the convenience of our guests, we have a small business and local vendor gift shop on-site within the main entrance. It is open Fridays 11am to 6pm & Saturdays 9am to 2pm, and Sundays by chance. As our guest, you receive 15% off your first purchase.
We do allow pets within the Kelley Suite only. There is an additional $25 fee to cover the additional cleaning needed for preparing the space for the next guest.
For dogs, we ask the following:
Guests always keep the dog on a leash outside the room.
Guests will not leave the dog unattended in the room.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up all dog refuse. We have supplied “doggy bags” and there is a covered garbage can near the kitchen entrance of the house (near the Kelley Suite private entrance) for bag disposal.
