Poor Management and Underconstruction

Pros: The only positive comment I can make about the St Julian's Bay Hotel is about the breakfast buffet. It was plentiful and tasty.
Cons: Change management. It is inexcusable to put a guest into a room like they gave me the first night.
Location: That was what was so disappointing about this hotel. The location was perfect. Near a bus stop and lots restaurants and pubs within walking distance
I booked 13 nights in this hotel. Upon my arrival I was told that the single room I booked was not available but that they were putting me in a double, room 303, for just the first night and that I would have to move to a different room the next day. I had been flying for 24 hours and didn't care at that point until I got to the room. But when I got to the room I found it was a health hazard. The bathroom door was rotted from the floor up about 18 inches and covered with mold and mildew. There was no sweep on the shower door so it was impossible to take a shower with out flooding the bathroom. The heater in the room didn't work nor did the TV have any channels that their guide said should be on it. They had put me in a room that should have been out of service because they had overbooked the hotel and it was the only room not occupied in the hotel. I was moved to room 501 the next day. The room was clean but the balcony was tiny, no way could I have breakfast on it as their website suggested. The hotel is part of a group of hotels - My Hotels Malta It had recently become a part of the company and there was all sorts of construction in the public areas as well as on the guest floors. Not mentioned in their advertisement or on the website.
