I was pleaseantly surprised that i did not get the standard firm mattress like in other hotels i won't mention. The room was functional & clean. The staff was friendly The only complaint would be how loud the toilet was & how long it ran after flushing. Really noisy at night.

This hotel was formerly a Holiday Inn. Unfortunately they did a very poor job of renovating the property. It looks old and rundown. We booked a King “suite.” Our room was dirty, there was trash left in the room, there were several holes in the wall, the wallpaper was peeling in several places, stains on the carpet, and some type of brown stain in the bathtub. There was a small motel a/c unit in the bedroom but no unit in the living room. We went down to the front desk and explained our disappointment with the hotel. We requested a refund from the front desk staff. They apologized for the room and told us they would refund our money. I didn’t expect them to do that but we were glad they did.

When arrived to our room our kids found dirty panties and socks in the dresser. The pool was closed after me calling to make sure it was going to be open. Staff said another half hour 3 times before finally saying it was going to be closed all day. Staff did offer a later check out.

Everything was great, somewhat..(my husband is a die hard cardinals fan, and watches every game, and the tv was messed up, and they never got it fixed!! After we made many attempts to have them fix it!) until we was ready to go to bed. On the bed, where the mattresses meet we found a pile of sunflower seeds, and that tells me the sheets weren't even changed because they would have fell off. So we paid money to sleep in a DIRTY BED!! That is unacceptable! While picking up the sunflower seeds I noticed trash stuffed in between the wall and the nightstand!! Very disgusting! I was previously employed by IHG holiday inn, located in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo, and I personally know we were held to very high standards. This was unnecessary and nasty. I can clearly tell that the housekeeping staff is either very lazy or are just in a hurry. People are paying good money to sleep in filth! Then, I was asked a very inappropriate question in the parking lot by a car full of men. (Which I know is no fault of holiday inn). I took pictures of the sunflower seeds, and trash.

We enjoyed our stay but was disappointed with the pool area, it was shut down the whole time we were there.

Pros: It was close to the interstate. There was a Krispy Kreme only about a block away (which was cheaper than what you could get at the hotel).
Cons: Offer a continental breakfast Add an arc trainer to the fitness center
The hotel was easy to find; the check-in and check-out processes were straightforward. The elevator was older and would make a strange sound whenever it passed the second floor, which was slightly disconcerting. But overall, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is really close to the interstate, which makes getting where you need to go in the morning pretty easy. It's also near a Krispy Kreme and some shopping.
