This hotel is in a great location in The Rocks with easy access to Circular Quay. We were fortunate to be offered a better room on the 7th floor which had a good view of the harbour and cruise ships. The room was dated and on the smaller side as was the bathroom and could do with a few easy tweaks to bring it up from good to great e.g new electrics and more shelf space in the bathroom. The pool on the roof had an amazing view. We appreciated having the option to choose whether we wanted our room cleaning in exchange for bar vouchers. However, the bar is only open at limited times, not every day. We loved our 10 night stay and would stay here again but hope that Rydges will invest in a few cosmetic improvements to give a better first impression.

The hotel is in a great location in The Rocks area. They're were plenty of restaurants and pubs within just a couple of minutes walk. The Circular Quay was an easy five minute walk. The hotel itself is dated with a very musty smell. We had to request another room which was only slightly better. The air conditioning never really cooled off or dehumidified the room. There were only two elevators and one was often not working.
