When you check in, the valet is there for your car but offers no assistance with your luggage leaving you either searching for a cart or leaving your items on the corner. When leaving we were told (on our valet ticket) to text the number on the ticket and they would get our car. When we went down to leave, after 30 minutes I asked about our vehicle and was told they were too busy to look at the text requests. This was unacceptable to me. I know they were busy but a little communication goes a long way.

Location was great for access to Univ of Tampa and the Riverwalk is literally accessible from the hotel pool deck. The room was borderline run down. Paint and caulking covered obvious rusted out areas on the bathroom doorframe, and the interior bathroom door handle had to be turned in the right way otherwise you were stuck in there. We had 2 people in our room, but not enough towels when we checked in. Pool towels were in rare supply. The in-room safe didn't work even with new batteries. The hotel phone to contact the desk didn't work - broken phone jack - so no way to contact the desk in an emergency. None of the USB charging ports worked. I had a multi-hour remote meeting while there, so used the little desk in the room to work from, but there was not a single outlet or charging port within 6 feet of it. Nothing in the hotel was open past 9 PM, so no food, drink or snacks available at all after that evening meeting; Uber eats was the only option at 9:00 p. The worst part was actually the traffic noise we listened to from our 5th floor city view room. Holy hell was that annoying!! The testosterone displays going on until well after 3 AM on the main drag outside made for 2 fully sleep deprived nights.
