"This property was an excellent choice. A million dollar view and space for many people to dine and have a relaxing time together. The rooms were comfortable and pleasing. We plenty of space to rest and recover...There were some major issues however with the electricity. It went our 3(three) time twice during the night and once during the day. We did not know who to contact. There was only an email link..A suggestion is to POST an emergency contact number, next to the wifi post, so that people will know who to call in this case. We went to the Vanira Villa and asked for help. They did, and my son, fixed the problem when it happened the two times after, especially when we used the oven/stove. Also, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and bathrooms. We could not leave any food out, or it would be covered in ants. And the refrigerator was not working well. The food was barely cold. This is such a beautiful property, so I would return. Yet, there needs to be some maintenance on the electric, appliances and pest control. Mahalo "

"Pro- amazing views, great jungle vibes, open air cabins, two great pools, kitchenette, great for families, great service, and super clean. Con- don't expect air conditioning, mosquitos (there are bug nets to sleep under), no wifi in cabins but there is at checkin location"

"The remoteness of this property is what we loved the most. Listening to the waves and nature sounds. The hosts are incredible and they are Tahitian! Its always great to know that we are giving back to the caregivers of original lands and their source of income. We would definitely return here. Its a place that is filled with aroha. "

"The property is nice and clean. You have a good view on the mountain and on the sea. A nice pool as well. Chris and Mary are nice and very friendly. Quite at night. When you arrive you have to go up to the end of the road to the villa."

"I spent 8 nights at Punatea Village and I greatly enjoyed my stay. The owner was very kind and accommodating. He upgraded me to a bungalow for 6 of my 8 nights at no extra cost. The kitchen is very clean and comes with all the utensils you need for cooking. It has a communal refrigerator. The lounge eating area is covered. The grounds is well maintained , with numerous beautiful tropical plants and trees. There is a nice swimming area which is protected from the surf by a wall of boulders. There is a small, well-maintained swimming pool. The rooms are pleasant, without refrigerators, and with a well -maintained shared bathroom. The bungalows are very nice equipped with a refrigerator, ceiling fan, and a mosquito net, which you really don’t need. There are very few mosquitoes!"
