Grand Hyatt Kauai is my happy place! I believe this was our fourth or fifth stay at the hotel, so we have had opportunity to see changes over time. While the visitors to the hotel this time seemed lacking in class (leaving pool towels and coffee cups in the hallways), the staff remained of the highest quality. There were some renovations being done on one side but this did not impact our enjoyment of the hotel and the lovely grounds. The food at the restaurants and the terraces was excellent and, again, service was excellent. Front lobby staff, housekeeping staff, and valet staff all were gracious and accommodating and provided their services with aloha. Thank you all for another wonderful stay!

Only one issue with the property. The a/c stopped working around midnight even though the thermostat was active and receiving my inputs. It was one uncomfortable night but the next day it was fixed and we had an excellent vacation.

Requested wake up call for 5:15 am and DID NOT GET CALL! Late to our scheduled tour. Staff almost overcharged me $100 until I noticed it and had to correct her. Housekeeping stopped supplying us water complementary water, shampoo and conditioner bottles once we stopped putting out a morning tip ( we forgot the morning hotel staff forgot our wake up call and we ran out of room once we realized the time) and had to ask for our water etc. Bad experiences -will not return
