Great spot
We loved this cottage. Our teenagers could take out the kayaks and our one year old could splash around on the nice sandy beach. We loved the screened in porch and had a couple of fires at the fire pit. It’s an older cottage and there isn’t much privacy as far as sound goes inside but we loved the character of the place. The lake was lovely and weed free as described and we were swimming every day. There were a lot of chipmunks around and they are able to get into the screened in porch which was startling at first but kind of fun to watch them. The few neighbours who were around were very friendly but not intrusive. The property is quite private and was exactly what we wanted. Thanks for everything, we had a great time!

Civic long weekend
Friendly host onsite when we arrived. We didn't venture inside until she left as we had a boat at the marina and were more concerned about the dock than anything else. We walked into the cottage to be greeted by a chipmunk sitting on the kitchen counter, think we met a few others along with a red squirrel over the weekend. Thankfully have friends with other cottages near by so spent most of our time there. If you go.. Bring rodent proof storage for food BBQ is broken and would appear to be beyond repair which we didn't know. Exterior cottage stairs are slippery and dangerous when wet. Very musty inside with limited ventilation up stairs. If you plan on taking a boat I'd recommend you see that the dock is repaired before going. I was fully expecting to find my boat missing along with the section of the dock it was tied each morning I woke up. Despite being an ideal location for us not a place we can recommend nor one would we book again.

Cute getaway
Property was a little on the dirty side (had to wash dishes before using them) but overall the location was cute, quiet and cozy.

Beautiful lake
We loved the outdoor space, especially the screened in porch. We ate all our meals outside on the porch. The lake was lovely and the access to kayaks was a great feature. Communication with the cottage owner was easy and she responded very promptly. The cottage itself was not very clean. I'm sorry to say that every kitchen item used had to be washed first because it was all dirty. I had to leave my shoes on because the floor was extremely dirty. The cottage needs to be made accessible with a proper set of stairs down to the cottage entry and to the dock. The walk from the parking to the cottage door was very steep and there was no safe way to get to it. My mom is over 70 and I was scared that she would fall on her way to the door. We did appreciate the beauty of the lake and the peace and quiet. But the cottage itself needs some work.

Relaxing, rustic cottage with great views of the lake
We had a fabulous stay! The cottage is rustic and cozy. Great views of the lake from everywhere & the screened in porch was fabulous. Appreciated the use of the kayak and waterboard that was there. Sandy little beach to get in for a swim. Plus the game room for the rain day we had was handy too. Will absolutely stay again!

Beautiful, natural setting with rustic cottage
The swimming was excellent. The cottage is a great step back in time, but needs some work. We really liked the layout and screened porch. Any issues were addressed promptly.

Great spot on a quiet lake
The host was so helpful and accommodating, making this quiet cottage spot a nice getaway for my girlfriend, dog, and I. Water toys like the kayaks and tubes were a big plus as well. The place had a lot of character and charm.

Relaxing Stay with Friends
We rented Melissa’s cottage during the week and had a lovely time. The good: 1) The cottage is located on a quiet, beautiful lake. 2) The shed has lots of great water toys that you are welcome to use 3) It’s pet friendly 4) Melissa is a fantastic host! She was incredibly accommodating and answered all of our questions promptly The not-so-Good: 1) Although the cottage was fairly clean on the inside, the outside including the porch could use a good power wash. The interior of the cottage also needs some maintenance work: floors replaced, walls fixed/painted or replaced all together 2) Not much green space to sit outside, but this didn’t matter to us, we just sat on the dock!!
