It's a really cute space with lots of light, a 1923 house with the original wood floors, fun woodwork, glass doorknobs and an abundance of charm. There's a small office for reading or working, and a beautiful, antique claw-foot tub in the bathroom. The house has a living room, dining room, kitchen, small office, bedroom and a bath. Everything you need is here for your convenience & comfort. This unit has 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed; a small office with a roll top desk. and chair for reading or working, a dining room, kitchen, living room & laundry room. A large reclining chair is in the living room, along with a reclining sofa. You have the entire unit to yourself. We are 420 friendly on the front porch or in the back yard. 420 shops are 1-1/2 blocks away. The house is one block off of Main Street. Safeway is 2 blocks away, downtown Trinidad starts 1-1/2 blocks away with shops, restaurants, museums, galleries, etc.Trinidad sits at about 6,000 feet in altitude. In the summer the temperatures can get up towards the 80's & 90's and during a heat wave, even hotter. There is air conditioning in the front room only. The duplex tends to stay relatively comfortable in the summer, though during a heat wave it may get warm. We have ceiling fans in every room, and by opening the windows at night and closing them during the day it stays fairly comfortable. As mentioned, the house is almost 100 years old. So the floors creak a bit. You can sometimes hear the floors creak on the other side of the house too, but it’s all part of the charm.
