I liked the location. Did not like the strong smell of weed, nor did i enjoy watching other patrons arguing with hotel staff at the intake desk. I hated the fact that my room was by the elevator and was really loud. The bed was also on the super firm side, my wife hated it.

Read this if you have trouble with stairs!

Just finding the guest registration was difficult...we drove around the block several times looking for directional signs. I went in a side door and saw a hallway but, again, no directional signs - turns out I was close. It was around corner, out of sight, but I never saw it. So, we finally found the underground parking (again, no good signage). All around the parking garage are warning signs about possible theft and crime-we didn't feel very secure. Keeping in mind, we are AARP members -- there were no readily accessible carts for bringing in our luggage and the registration desk did not ask if we needed help. After we drug our bags inside and to the elevator, we thought getting to our rooms would be easy now, but we had a big surprise - when you exit the elevators, you STILL HAVE TO TRAVEL DOWN SOME STAIRS to get on the same level as your room. I think all room levels have this issue. We stopped an employee and he politely assisted us with our luggage. Our room was okay. They brought in a new microwave as we were getting settled. The breakfast entree was individually prepared fresh and was good. However, my cousin ate some yogurt that apparently was spoiled and became ill. The travel brochures were few and several of those were about events that happened months earlier. There were no good magazines about Albuquerque events, restraunts, etc - which is what we wanted. I don't normally write reviews but if stairs are a problem for you, this could really ruin your stay.

Never Again!

I stayed in this hotel with my Aunt and Uncle. I was visiting Albuqueque for the Balloon Fiesta. This hotel was terrible. First of all...check in was suppose to be 2 pm per their website but when we called to confirm the reservation we were told it was 3 pm. When we finally did check in we were told that none of the keys worked and that the front desk would have to manually unlock our door until the next morning when it was to be fixed. Once we recieved our keys they never worked, and then the lock itself stopped working and we couldn't even lock our room. The room itself was very run down and not clean. The carpets had staples and paper pieces all over it. Found finger nail clippings on the couch cushion and cob webbs on the lamps. There were several light bulbs that were burnt out. The towels were very old, dingy and stained as well as the sheets and pillow cases. We would have left right away but because of the balloon fiesta going on there were no other decent hotels with rooms available, although I'm not sure it could have gotten much worse. And for all you military people out there beware....the website says they offer govenment rates but upon check in I was told that I could not recieve it because of the Balloon Fiesta going on, So I guess they only offer that when they want to. I would not stay at that hotel again, even if it was offered to me free of charge!

Good Value! Great hotel!

We stayed here while we were taking care of some wedding business, and we found it to be a great place. As a matter of fact, my fiance and I have decided to rent out their atrium room for our wedding reception. The small problems we did have were quickly and professionally taken care of by the staff. It seems like they are trying really hard to turn this hotel into something special. I personally recommend it.

What a waste

This hotel is awful, dirty rooms, key cards that don't work, no maid service, room not available upon check-in and staff that just don't care about any of this. \nThe pool was closed for half the stay (nice for the kids) the room wasn't cleaned at least 3 times during our stay and the sheets didn't even fit the beds properly! \nUpon check-in we were initially given a room that hadn't been cleaned and then a room that we clearly did not request. Front desk person was arguing with another employee while we were standing there. \nAir conditioning did not work, fridge was frozen over and didn't close. Room was dirty and the key cards had to be "re-programmed" frequently. \nThis hotel could be a great place to stay, with rooms that are so spacious, but this hotel is in bad need of a new manager who can get his/her priorities straight and is at least somewhat familiar with the hotel business. \nUntil that happens, don't waste your money here!!!

In Decline

Only one elevator worked. 4-5 key swipes to unlock doors. Threadbare towels had boot print & stains. Used couch cushions to prop up sagging hide-a-bed mattress. Uncomfortable beds/pillows. Lost A/C & had to relocate. Room service intermittent. Outdoor pool & gameroom closed all week. One night, a couple walked into our room with a key. One staffer dressed in droopy drawers. Another displayed chest tattoos under spaghetti-strap top. All but 2 on staff were impatient & unprofessional.

Horrible

Very dissatisfied. Room had no A/C. Toilet was backed up. Carpet was filthy. Asked for refridgerator, there was none. Initially told there may not be rooms available although I had a reservation number. The breakfast was good but there was a sour smell coming from behind the milk machine. Some staff did apologize for the inconvenience of shortage of maid service and poor service. I will never stay there again. This hotel gives the franchise a bad reputation. Managment never responded to my complaints!

Never Again!!!

This place advertises wireless, none available and they don't care! The rooms are dated and filthy. Only one elevator worked and barely at that. If you are disabled good luck, some of the rooms are only accessable by stairs. Key cards have to be changed every other day of your stay, also an inconvenience.

Be very afraid

Had a reservation for 4 nights. Upon entering the room noticed the overall dinginess of it all. Mold in bathroom. The worst part was discovering the sheets had not been changed. The desk clerk appoligized and said they were short on maids, gave me another room. Litterally ran out 6:am next morning and found another Hotel.
