Have previously stayed at property but it is clear there has been a lack of ongoing maintenance and upkeep. Bathrooms are not cleaned sufficiently and I caught a bug from previous occupant, although had asked for cleaning on check in. Found mouse/rat dropping on bedding on last night. While seating in breakfast/restaurant area has a lovely outlook and is open, bird droppings are not cleaned from seats which is unhygenic. Breakfast and food selection is dated and does not reflect the excellent standard of food to be found in the ubud region. Hotel pool was not clear and had algae and there are no sun shades and no ability to fully utilize pool during day unless you want to bake in the full sun. Hotel has many staff and seems to have 6 people standing in foyer at any time doing nothing, staff cluster behind pool area and could be better used to clean. Sadly will not return.

Beautiful spy resort in Ubud Indonesia
We really enjoyed this spa resort. The bed Was hard and thesheetswerea little rough. The staff was very accommodating. Our room included the use of their day spa, which was a great place to relax and rejuvenate.. The property is on the edge of a river with breathtaking jungle views. I would stay here again. We did the cooking class with the chef and really enjoyed that also reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Indonesian food afterwar. As this resort is on a hillside there are lots of steps with no lift. Not a good place for people who can't do a lot of steps. But it is a beautiful resort.

Wow! What an amazing and incredible experience Hotel Tjampuhan is!! The unbelievable timeless, traditional interiors are spectacular! The service by ALL the staff was beyond impeccable, and we were made to feel like royalty!!! This property is nothing short of awesome, with their attention to detail that rivals some of the best in the world! The “Grotto Spa is something to behold!!!! We most definitely will return!
