Perfect location for walking to all our tour sites. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in which was very convenient. Staff and breakfast was good. Only bad thing was no elevator. I had read about that in a review, but thought was are the odds of being on the top floor, well it happened. Challenging to carry the luggage up 3 flights of stairs, but it was only for one night so it wasn't too bad.

Great character and charm. Rooms are decorated nicely and have a mini fridge. Breakfast consisted of various breads, cereals, yogurts, and cold cuts which was a great way to start the day! Staff were very helpful and informative, willing help you with anything you needed. There is no elevator so your luggage will need to be carried up the stairs. This is no problem if you are on the first floor, but if you are on the third it can be exhausting. But there is someone available to help you carry luggage up if needed. Great location, close to major landmarks!

I love that this was an old building but it was difficult to find. If a porter hadn't found me and took me there I probably would still be wandering around today because it's on an alley off a square which is off an alley off an alley off the canal... you get the idea. The day staff were a little "crisp" but the night guy was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast, beautiful day/dining room. Not much of a view but a/c was "crankable" with fridge, bathroom facilities were excellent. Not a modern American hotel. Charming.

Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, and staff made no effort to help with luggage. Bathroom was made for tiny people, not average-sized Americans. Breakfast was OK.

We had a great time at Hotel Centauro. It was a little hard to find the first day, but once we found it it was not a problem. The only thing I wish they had was access to a rooftop garden or eating area. We loved the breakfast! This is a great property!

It was central to piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. Behind the hotel are two great restaurants that are good food for a fair price.
