I woke up early as usual for me sometime around 4:300 am turned on bathroom lite and a huge cockroach was on counter luckily I was able to kill it , but now uncomfortable that more might be in my travel case or suit case I did inform the service personnel at the front desk immediately

Property was nicely renovated, but almost seemed like putting lipstick on a pig. We like Old Florida properties, and this didn’t have that charm even though the rooms were nicely remodeled. Had no major complaints about the property or the room for a budget night except fire alarm was still taped with paint tape so obviously not working. Noted another guest had mentioned that in a review as well, so one would assume they would check them all. Breakfast was free full breakfast which was surprisingly nice. Dining room and room attendants were very nice. Our big complaint was the young man who checked us in. Not only was his temperament short and inconsiderate, he got into it with other guests and called the police on them which created nighttime drama on the property. And I have no doubt from my interaction with him that it wasn’t just the other guests being a problem.
