Comfortable condo, great beach

Cons: Check-in hours are limited. There is no easy way to recycle.
We spent four days here out of a two week stay on the big island so that we could be convenient to the beach. This turned out the be great because the beach was beautiful, whale-watching boats left from the beach, and the Lava Lava beach bar was perfect Hawaii. Plenty of good restaurants, but since we like to cook, we also appreciated the very convenient grocery store. The condo had a small pool and hot tub not too heavily used. We don't golf, but the golf course out our back patio looked nice.

Beautiful condo and grounds

The condo was perfect. Had everything we needed. The gated community is well maintained and close to shopping and the beach. It was perfect.

Fairway Villas Waikoloa by Outrigger Earns an A+

Pros: We loved the completely appointed kitchen, being on the ground floor, gorgeous landscaping, and a short walk away from wonderful places.
Cons: We thought it was perfect!
Location: It was a short stroll to both the King's Shops and Queen's Marketplace - a daily stop for breakfast at Island Gourmet. A Bay - sunsets...Incredible!!
Our trip to Hawaii could not have been more perfect! Our Delta flights were on time, Alamo car rental was waiting at the Kona airport and within minutes we had a great Nissan Vergo to drive for our three weeks. The directions to our condo were exact and easy to follow. Once we arrived and opened the door to the place we would be staying, we were stunned to see how beautiful it was. Perfect! Roomy! Wonderfully decorated! We were on the ground floor so no stairs to be tackling...a nice, nice lanai complete with table and chairs. Our condo had everything one would want for comfort, ease of cooking, and convenience. It was within easy walking distance to the King's Shops, Queen's Market Place, and to A Bay. We made good use of the pool at the Villas - loved its infinity edge. The three weeks we were there were not nearly long enough. This was our first time dealing with Travelocity and after this experience, they are our go-to spot when it comes to planning our next trip! From the time we boarded our first flight until the time we picked up our luggage upon arriving back home, the trip was 100% perfect. Thank you......and we are sharing this information with all of our friends that are looking to book a vacation! Loved it!!!

Close to restaurants and the beach.

Pros: Relaxing environment, quiet, and close to facilities.
Cons: Be upfront of the cleaning fees that were added to the bill at check out.
Location: Shopping, beach, and restaurants were conveniently within a short walk.
I've stayed here in the past. Still very nice all around. Close to restaurants, the beach, and some shopping. The grounds are well kept and very relaxing place The BBQ facilities are convenient and a good break from eating out. The swimming pool is great for the young kids. The staff that maintain the gardens are especially friendly and give you a true Aloha feeling. I am looking forward to returning with my kids and grand children.

Great place!! Check in office rude and lazy.

Excellent place that is very comfortable and close to Hapuna Beach & Mauna Kea Beach. Upscale Location. Check in staff seem like your bothering them at office location. Other staff fine. Could use some customer service 101.

Walk to everything

Pros: I appreciate how clean everything is, and that the grounds are so beautiful, full of interesting tropical flowering plants.
Cons: The wifi was spotty.
Location: We enjoyed being able to leave one guest home without a car for the day and she could walk to shopping or the beach or the Lava Lava beach club.
This is a wonderful place to stay, my 5th or 6th time at this property after trying several other options (sometimes private homes, sometimes condos/hotels), the price is great and condos are all large and clean. The property is very maintained, restful, and central to shopping and access to some great beaches. My friends, both locals and visitors, were impressed by the unit and the grounds.

Excellent property.

We stayed at the Fairway Villas of Waikoloa for our son's wedding in 2005 and were very pleased with this complex. I think it has only gotten better over time. The condo units are individually owned but managed by Outrigger. Very clean and upscale in furnishings and amenities. Everything we needed (unit J-23) was provided (except a broom and dustpan would have been helpful).  Location is in a pretty peaceful part of the Waikoloa resort area (other than the construction work being done on a nearby road). Restaurants, grocery store and shops are nearby at the King's Shops and more recently built Queen's Marketplace.  The ancient King's Road and some interesting petroglyph preserves are also in the vicinity. Make sure to see the Puako Petroglyph Archaeological area, it's fascinating. Walking to the other Waikoloa resorts (Marriott and Hilton) is good exercise and fun.

Great Vacation Condo!

We went before Christmas and had a fabulous time. Directions to pick up keys were accurate. The condo was clean and very spacious (2 bedroom with additional loft bedroom). Connected internet was good, just not as convenient as it could be since it was up in the loft (would have been better in living room). Good array of kitchen supplies on hand which we made use of.  Nice pool, bbq, and exercise area. Pretty landscaping and quiet complex.  It was nice to have elevator since we were in a third floor condo.  Also loved having the stackable washer/dryer!  Helpful tip: We were glad to stock up on food/supplies affordably at Costco and Walmart (friendly Walmart checker told us about the awesome Kona Christmas Parade which we loved!) We never did see staff or have maid service while there.. but maybe it wasn't a part of the package. We were there for 4 nights so it wasn't a huge deal we were able to take the trash out - which is really all we needed.  We would definitely go to the same place again!

I loved the location of the Condo

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
We were enjoying our trip to this condo and Kona up until the Tsunami alert came. We were not alerted by the Outrigger but rather someone within the complex who came knocking on our door around 8:45 PM when the Tsumani was due to hit at 10:30 PM. When we tried to contact the Outrigger for further directions as to where to go or what to do no one answered the phones on our many attempts to get them. This left us to fend for ourselves. It left a very bad taste in our mouth for this condo. You would have thought they would have a plan for people to follow in case of an emergency. We were there for 10 days and never had maid service and no info as to what we were to do to get it. This condo needs a lot more information left in condo as to what the guidelines are. Also emergency phone numbers.

2 AWESOME STAYS

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, washer/dryer, cold air conditioning, bbq grills, king's shops walking distance
This was a wonderful gated condo community. We booked our orignial stay in a 2 bedroom/2bathroom condo and LOVED every minute of it. We made use of the pool, grills, and all the luxuries of home inside the condo. It also had boogie boards and a cooler for us to take to the beach. We liked it so much, we booked an additional stay in a 3 bedroom/3bathroom unit. We had way more room than we needed. When we moved to a 5 star hotel, we were missing all the space. This is a wonderful place to stay. My family gives it 8 thumbs up!
