Door lock jammed, locked me in the room. No way to reach front desk from room. Fridge didn't work well, too much ice build-up. No instructions on how to work T.V. A.C. worked fine. Water was nice and hot.

I had a unique, pleasant, and brief experience with this place. I was riding my motorcycle from Seattle to Three Forks Montana and planned to stay at the Trail in Kellog. But I arrived there early in the afternoon, earlier than I planned. I asked they very nice guys at the office if I could cancel my reservation and keep riding on to Missoula. They said sure no problem, we won’t charge you at all. They were so nice. Thank you guys at the Trail, that is how all us Americans should act and treat each other, Bend the rules when it can help and accommodate fellow Americans. Sorry for the last minute cancellation. You guys are awesome!! Hope you read this!!

The hotel is really in need of an renovation. It is old and appears have never had any updates. The rooms were clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The travelocity booking notes rollaway beds were available upon request, however, they were not.

Good rest for small price

Pros: Ideally located downtown Kellogg near freeway.
Cons: Coffee in the room
Yes, I appreciate luxury amenities, but do I need a lido experience every night on the road? The Trail Motel has been bookmarked by road warriors who recognize that a good night's rest can be found without paying high rates. The accommodations are spartan but clean and sensible. The staff is felicitous and professional. Supper is within walking distance Save some money for your ultimate destination by staying here on the way.

Older motel but very clean

Very nice managers. Clean room and comfortable bed. Microwave and refrigerator which I did not expect at the price. Beats the heck out of motel 6. Overall I would rate it at 9.5. Good value for the price. Great for us retirees on a fixed budget.

Small town

Location: We went to Wallace and took a Silver mine tour and went to the welcome center where we talked to a very knowledgeable guy repairing the exhibits.
Floor boards were squeaky but the room was great, very spacious. We ended up with the handicap room and the bathroom was amazing. We sat out on the front bench and watched life go by in a small town.
