In the city center and near a metro station, Hamilton Hotel Washington DC is in an area with good shopping. Ford's Theater and International Spy Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's notable landmarks include White House and Washington Monument. Check out an event or a game at Capital One Arena, and consider making time for Smithsonian's National Zoo, a top attraction not to be missed. Our guests appreciate the hotel's central location for the sightseeing. It's also convenient to public transportation: McPherson Sq. Station is just steps away and Center Station is 10 minutes by foot.
The parking situation at this hotel is a nightmare. Immediately pulling up to this property, valet was outside giving my family instructions on where to pull up. However, one of the gentlemen standing with valet, who we at first mistook for valet, wasn't valet. We realized this when he was demanding money and trying to get inside our vehicle, he ended up pulling a knife on us when we told him to get away from our son. We kept asking valet to bring out security, and they quickly went inside to watch what happened instead. Thankfully God was on our side and we were able to fend for ourselves in this situation. Very scary experience with having my toddler in the car with us! I would've expected this type of situation at any other hotel in the area, but not from the Hamilton. Very disappointed. Our room was ok, but there were plumbing issues the whole time. The beds were nice, but that was the only benefit for our stay.
