Very conveniently located in the centre of the city, we spent three nights here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It was very quiet at night which allowed for good sleep. We would definitely stay here again.

I have always enjoyed my stays at James Cook. The staff have been friendly and ready to help. I am sorry to say that it was not this time. The check-in staff did the job but no more. The same person also checked us out 3 days later. Was not asked about our stay and whether we enjoyed it or not. Was not interested at all. Very dissapointed. The other reason we have enjoyed in past was the dining was buffet service. Now I understand that at the moment this is not possible but the al a carte menu is very expensive for the service and meal. We chose not to eat there either for breakfast or dinner.
