We checked in online prior to arriving at the westin and requested an early check in at 2pm. I completely understand that this is a request only, however when we arrived at 3:30 we had to wait in a line for 30 minutes just to be told that our room isn’t ready - it was just after 4 pm which is the regular check in time. I asked if we could be moved to another room that was ready and was told to just wait 5 minutes. 20 minutes later our room was ready. I’ve never had such a terrible check in experience at any hotel, and think that if I have to do my own check in online that it should expedite the process, not take 45 minutes waiting in the lobby for my room. You had a lobby filled with unsatisfied customers waiting to check in, and several like myself didn’t have a room ready at the 4pm check in. Unacceptable. I took my kids to the pool that afternoon and we couldn’t use the outdoor pool or hot tub because there was a large group of rowdy guest smoking pot in the hot tub!!!! Is the pool area not monitored to ensure the rules are being followed?
