Mountainview Lodge - Windham, Hunter Mountain

Summary:
Welcome to Mountainview Lodge! Our home is nestled just above Windham Mountain, only a 3 min drive to the Windham Slopes and approximately 15 min drive to Hunter Mountain. The location is perfect for winter skiing, sledding, and snowboarding. In the fall, hike below the beautiful foliage, and in the spring/summer be sure to check out the nearby swimming holes, more hiking, antiquing, and local farms & vineyards.

The Space:
The Living Room is our favorite spot to enjoy in the house. Lounge on the sofas, switch on the Smart TV (where you can easily sign into your Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming account) for movie night or the big game, or enjoy one of our board games with your group. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and dining room, with a table large enough for your group to dine together.

Sleeping Arrangements
Mountainview Lodge has 6 bedrooms and can sleep 12 guests. On the ground floor you will find 1 King Sized Bedroom, 1 Bunk Bed Bedroom and 1 room with a twin sized bed. On the second floor you will find 2 king sized bedrooms (one of which has an ensuite bathroom), a room with two twin beds, and a pull out sofa in the upstairs family room area. Theres plenty of room at Mountainview Lodge for your group to spread out. Our bedrooms feature Casper Mattresses, quality linens, and are thoughtfully decorated. Each bedroom has either a closet or a dresser for unpacking your personal items, and its own climate control so that guests can adjust to their individual preference.

The Kitchen
The Kitchen is equipped with all new appliances and finishes as well as cooking utensils, pots and pans, general spices, and basically all the tools you need to make morning pancakes, spaghetti Bolognese dinner, and everything in between. (Groceries not provided.) For morning coffee, there is a coffee machine, please feel free to bring along your favorite roast. You will find all the dish ware, serve ware, and drink ware you need for your group to dine, but don’t worry, we have you covered with a dishwasher too.

Bathrooms
There are three and half bathrooms in Mountainview Lodge. The downstairs level has a full bathroom as well as a half bathroom. The second floor has two full bathrooms, one of which is nested within one of the King Sized bedrooms. All full bathrooms have a rain shower head and body sprayer and are stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer, and super plush towels. Also in-unit is a washer and dryer for your use.

Outdoors
Step out the back door and you will find yourself on a wood deck with lounge seating for 12. If BBQ-ing is your thing, we have you covered with a propane grill. An extra tank is provided in case the one there runs low and needs to be swapped out. A few steps down to the back yard is a fire pit surrounded with Adirondack chairs and twinkle lights for your entire group to gather around. We provide you with a fire starter kit and good amount of wood for multiple nights of fires.

Guest Access:
Guest can enjoy the privacy of the entire house, private deck, fire pit, and yard.

The Neighborhood:
There are two markets nearby as well as a wine & liquor store for your convenience. This house is so well located that you will find great Food & Drink options moments away, including Windham Diner, Windham Pizzeria, Tap House Grille, Chicken Run, and Tavern 23.

If you are looking for the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone - year round. The house is located moments away from the base of Windham Mountain. With 85 skiable acres and 54 trails over two peaks, 6 terrain parks and 11 lifts. Slightly further away you will find Hunter Mountain with 320 skiable acres, 67 trails, 13 lifts, and Hunter Mountain’s nearly 1000 feet long tubing hill, a “no-skills” fun activity for the whole family.

In the summer, enjoy a day at Zume Flume Water Park or spend some time at North-South Lake Campground (just 20 min away) where you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and playgrounds for the lil travelers. Also 3 min away is Windham Country Club, known for its beautiful golf course atop the Catskill Mountains, This 18-hole public golf course with a private club atmosphere is open in the warmer months.

At Kaaterskill Wild Forest (just 30 minutes away) you’ll find some of the best hiking New York State has to offer, with a variety of trails for all levels, and enjoyable through the different seasons of the year.

Nearest train station: Hudson – 38min drive from the house.

Nearest bus stop: (162) Phoenicia- Rt 214 @ Church St – 33min drive.

CHECK IN
The check-in will be contactless and keyless. Before you arrive, we will send you the code to the door lock.

PARKING
Please feel free to utilize the parking spaces nearest to your house for the duration of your stay - it can hold up to 4 cars. There is an EV charger provided there as well which you are welcome to use. Note that we are not responsible for personal items left in your car.

HOUSE ACCESS
The entire house is yours for the length of your stay. Feel free to enjoy the private deck, fire pit and seating areas around the yard.

OUTSIDE GUESTS
If you'd like to add an additional guest to the booking, please be sure to add them to the reservation or reach out to Stay at Lina team if your stay has already begun. We can typically accommodate up to the max number of guests noted on the original listing and no more. We cannot offer customer service for extra people who don’t have an official reservation through the platform, and any liability waivers won’t apply. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS

SECURITY
Stepping out of the house? Keep your belongings safe and secure by remembering to close and lock all the doors and windows before leaving the property.

CHECK OUT
Our check-out time is at 11:00 AM. Please make sure to do the dishes (it’s ok to place the remaining dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle), take the trash out and close the door before leaving. Don’t forget to do a final walk thru of the house to make sure you haven’t left behind any personal items.

RECYCLING
Guests can leave the recycling items on a separate bag in the house. Cleaning team will take care of it after guests leave.

ITEMS LEFT BEHIND
Please note that we are not responsible for any items left behind. Lina will make every effort to search and find your forgotten items after you check out but we do not guarantee if they can be found.

FRIENDS OF MOTHER NATURE
Please note that we are located in the countryside, surrounded by trees and foliage. Although we have regularly scheduled pest control services in and around the home and yard, you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed as much as possible to limit the amount of outdoor creatures from sneaking in.

PETS
We love dogs and allow them in our houses, but please let us know if your are bringing your furry friend(s) along. Please understand that all of our furniture and decor is new and dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds. You will be responsible for any visible wear or damage your dogs may cause. The maximum number of dogs we allow is two.

REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, appliances, TVs/media equipment, stereo equipment or pools/spas. Please report any inoperative equipment to us promptly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. If you demonstrate that the problem persists after being given phone instructions by our team, a maintenance service professional may be dispatched. NO REFUNDS OR RENT REDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES, MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS OR CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA. WHILE LINA WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REPAIR ANY MAINTENANCE ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER, IT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE FIXED DURING A GUEST STAY, AS THE COMPANY MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOME WARRANTIES. Lina will always look for alternative solutions to ensure and prioritize guest comfort.
