"We stayed 2 nights. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Room was a lot more spacious than I thought it would be. Very happy. Lovely lady who checked us in and lovely staff in the bar for breakfast and dinner. I can’t remember the lady’s names but very lovely and friendly. It really made our stayed having staff that wanted to talk and see how your day went. "

"I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room & bathroom were clean, with good quality shampoo, body wash and hand wash by Dove. The bathroom door did double service as a door that could close off the toilet area, which was a little awkward, but did mean one person could potentially use the toilet while another was cleaning their teeth. The settee & bed were comfortable, and the desk area was great too. I think the bed was only a 4'6" double, rather than a king - but that was fine for me on my own. The "wardrobe" was just an open rail, and I don't think there was a single drawer in the entire room. I managed ok, but my wife would have moaned about the lack of drawers. I am used to Holiday Inn Express in America, with low quality breakfasts served on a paper plate, with plastic cutlery, so I found the included breakfast, with proper plates & cutlery much better than I expected - with a variety of top brand cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants, Danish pastries, a variety of jams, marmalades, honey, marmite, etc for the toast - together with a hot selection of Cumberland sausages, bacon, scrambled egg & beans, with proper Heinz ketchup, plus HP sauce - with enough staff to clear & clean the tables promptly. I also enjoyed the cappuccino, and selection of other coffees, teas & hot chocolate, as well as fruit juice. The bar seemed to have a decent selection of drinks, and a pleasant buzz in the evening. This is definitely a great hotel for the money."

"Just a few minor details that stopped it getting Excellent. Milk in fridge was off but quickly replaced when told. Had breakfast in room which was excellent, and on time but salt pot was empty. The settee was quite badly stained. The staff were all outstanding .if the minor points were attended to it would definitely be an excellent from me. "

"Great bank holiday weekend here! Nice hotel, decent gym and spa, bar well equipped. Lovely staff… special shout out to Silvia and Edward at the front desk! Super nice and welcoming, got some freebies as it was my birthday thanks! Overall well looked after and would definitely recommend this hotel"
