Overall comfortable but very limited dining services. Long drive to go elsewhere. Suggest not filling all water glasses with water in restaurant...much was wasted and many did not drink it. Given water shortages, would make water on request

The details and pictures on the website are not what you get when you arrive. We paid $460 for a room with very few amenities. It had 2 double beds, a mini frig, a coffee pot, and a broken fan. There was no security in getting into the building. Anyone could just walk in because the doors were not locked. The carpet needed vacuuming. There was a cigarette butt under the little nightstand between the beds. One restaurant nearby that had to feed all the people that were in these rundown buildings. We were told to get there early because getting a table would be a challenge. I will never stay here again for being OVERCHARGED for a less than satisfactory room.

There were no activities for kids (or adults for that matter) Nowhere to gather (like a common area lodge). At the main restaurant bar, they would not serve you unless you had a dinner reservation. Tacos were the only choice at Lakeside (not family-friendly) For the money, outside the park would have given more amenities on a rainy day stuck inside. The place is severely outdated. Given the limited menu, stopping to get food is a great idea. Except for the fridge issues. Others mentioned it, but I could not believe how true it was. The maintenance guy told us it was his fourth call that day for a fridge issue. The fridge does not work and they tell you it is really a "cooler" and to put ice in it like a cooler (even though it says fridge right on the door and is plugged in). So it leaked all over our floor and smelled. They know it is an issue and have a lie handy it. For the amount of money they are charging, and the government lets them charge, they should lose the contract. Xanterra should be ashamed of themselves. They could easily pay to restore the rooms with what they are making. Do not stay here unless you have no choice. The other park lodges had activities, common areas, and an overall better everything. The main store and their grill was the best part of this area of the park. The gas station coffee guy was very nice. If you are visiting both parks, stay at Flagg Ranch Headwaters. It is only 22 miles away from this location, and worth the drive. Seriously

This was a great location, we had a fabulous time in Yellowstone. We also enjoyed walking the Grant Village property. Our room had a connecting door to another room. Only a single door, there was no door on our side. It was like having other people in our room. It is not the least bit soundproof. It was very disturbing.

Different from other hotels, etc, we stayed at on this trip. No TV, limited Wi-Fi. I thought that was nice. Spend time on vacation, not on the screen.

This is a clean spacious room with minimal amenities. There is no TV and WiFi is spotty at best. Mini fridge is truly mini. However you are relatively close to Old Faithful and many other amazing Yellowstone favorites so the price is worth it!
