Close to Walking trails, Blue Springs, Appalachian trail, Cross over Mountain, Tweetsie Bike trail, and coffee shops in the cute town of Elizabethton. Or take a drive to Roan Mountain to see the flowers, and antique shops, take a drive up to Watauga Lake, or kayak the Watauga River. Much to do on your days off!
Car shows on Saturday nights in Elizabethton, antique stores, and mom-and-pop stores. Check out Shady Valley for a nice country drive and to drive the Snake! It's said to be one of the finest rides in the southern United States. The Snake is said to have 489 curves (sweepers and hairpins) over 33 miles. Road quality is good, and you can expect decent tire grip through the challenging curves. The drive offers fabulous twists and hairpin turns that run between steep-sided mountains and drop off to the valley below. Blue Hole is a much-needed visit, swim or hike up to the Holston, Laural Falls, Appalachian Trails, Tweetsie Trail bike, and Hikes, So much to do in the heart of Stoney Creek!
