Description

Your Antelope Canyon Tour starts off with a scenic and narrated ride from the Red Rocks of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon (from Sedona - one of the top 10 scenic drives in America) and through the towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff.

After meeting our guests from Flagstaff, your Antelope Canyon Tour will take you past the dormant volcanoes which make up the San Francisco Peaks and through the Navajo Nation. Throughout your travels, you'll receive informative and entertaining narration about the areas through which you pass from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable tour guides from Sedona and Flagstaff areas. Travel through the Navajo Reservation as our guide shares with you stories of this ancient culture and information about the amazing geology and vistas along the way.

Once driving across the Navajo Reservation, you will have time to walk out on the unpaved path to see Horseshoe Bend, an astounding and iconic viewing vista. After this you will continue to be dazzled by vistas and views as you get to see Glen Canyon Dam and the southernmost point of Lake Powell.

Upon your arrival in Page, Arizona, you will then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is included in your tour. After which, it will be time to meet your Navajo guide for a spectacular tour of Antelope Canyon at the Canyon X site. As the angle of the sun changes, you opportunity for photos change. Walk with the Navajo through the curves of this red rock slot canyon. Visitors often fill their memory cards and use up all their films. Bring extra! Occasionally sounds of flute music echoes off the walls. Not only is this location visually stimulating, it is a cultural experience as you travel through the Navajo Reservation as our guide shares with you stories of this ancient culture and information about the amazing geology and vistas along the way.

SPECIAL NOTE: There are several slot canyons in Antelope Canyon. We have selected Canyon X due to its beauty and less crowded than its sister slot canyons.

After your tour, you'll begin your return trip from Antelope Canyon. You'll pass by the western edge of the Painted Desert as you re-cross the Navajo Reservation for a brief stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post.

This is a fantastic experience - a full day out with stops at Cameron Trading Post, Horseshoe bend (a short hike), lunch included (at a family run restaurant in Page) and finally the highlight, a guided tour through the incredible slot canyon known as Antelope Canyon. Our Navaho guide, Nate, was excellent - he got us into the canyon first (to get 'empty room' shots such as the one you see above), told us how to set up our cameras/phones and knew exactly where to stand and at what angle to take each shot. He also took pictures of us at strategic points along the way. As you will be asked not to take anything into the canyon except your camera and a bottle of water, if you want to tip the guide you'll need to have some cash in your pocket. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

This tour was fabulous... I enjoyed the ride up and all of the information that the driver shared. Then the tour group that they use for the Antelope Canyon experience was wonderful. I think it was especially great due the time of year that we went there (Jan.16) as we were told that in warmer months there are MANY more people put through the Canyon.

Excellent tour but our departure time was changed by an hour later which caused us to go into the canyon at 1:20 pm. The best time to be in the canyon is noon otherwise it is too dark in some portions of it even for taking a picture.
