Description

Hop aboard an old-fashioned trolley in downtown Napa for a scenic, open-air ride through the sun-soaked hills and vineyards of Northern California's most celebrated wine region. Stop at 4 different estates to taste Napa reds and whites, and enjoy a gourmet family-style meal in lovely Yountville.

Wait for the trolley to pick you up at your hotel or head downtown to the Oxbow Public Market to hop aboard, enjoying the breeze and scenery as you ride out of town toward the rolling hills and neat vineyard rows of Napa Valley. Stops vary every day, but you might make your way to estates like Rutherford Grove, Raymond Vineyards, Napa Cellars, or Bell Wine Cellars to kick off your day in wine country with a sampling of fine NorCal vintages and varietals.

Around midday, head to the charming town of Yountville and make your way to celebrity chef Michael Chiarello's NapaStyle, where you can pop into the shop to scope out elegant housewares, kitchen goods, and gourmet food items before sitting down to a delicious picnic lunch.

The afternoon continues with more tastings as you visit well-known producers and family-run wineries like Andretti Winery and Monticello Vineyards. Listen as your guide rattles off facts about Napa's wine-making industry, information on the region's unique climate and terroir, and tips for getting the most out of your tastings between stops, heading back to downtown Napa at the end of the afternoon.

What a great experience. This was such an intimate trip as there was only 3 of us (my husband, son & I). We met Rich and he had a private car waiting for us and gave us an amazing tour of the towns and there history. We went to 4 wineries and met some of the most beautiful ppl. We went to Prestoni Family Winery and met Anavon & Kate. They were so sweet and such a delight. Then on to Whitehall Lane where we met Bridgette (so was great) and had lunch provided by Grill & Fig, amazing. Then on to Bougetz where Carol was there and she so friendly and knowledgeable. Last but not least Andretti Winery where we met Nicole, so was such a joy to meet. The entire experience was amazing. We topped it off with dinner at Cole's (Rich's recommendation) and it was great. We had the best waitstaff.

We waited for the trolley for about 15 minutes at the communicated spot. I was constantly with the receptionist who said trolley will be there any minute and that it looks like the trolley in the pictures. 20 minutes later, called again and was told that today its not going to be a trolley but a normal enclosed bus. I flew in from accross the world from Sydney only to ride this trolley in Napa and was left with such disappointing experience, with no notice I was told to just ride along and take the trip as is. I wasn't even offered a cancellation option or a refund. Cause this was just a trip in a van.The lunch was underwhelming cold sandwich. This experience was definitely not worth the price.
