What you can expect

Depart the Goolwa Wharf heading downstream passing through a lock in the Goolwa Barrage whilst viewing fur seals which inhabit this area, pass from fresh to salt water and into the Coorong National Park.

Enjoy morning tea as we make our way to the mouth of the mighty River Murray, hear stories of this area's tragic past. Stopping on the Younghusband Peninsula for a guided bush tucker walk through the sand dunes to the beach where you can try digging for Pipis. Return to the boat for our 'bush tucker' inspired lunch served with a selection of local wines or craft beer.

Cruise to the 'Snake Pit' for another guided walk where you will hear stories of the first european settlers to this area, view the Barrages from the look out and see aboriginal 'midden' sites. Pass throught the hand operated lock in the Tauwitcherie barrage before viewing Australia's largest lake 'Alexandrina'. Pull into the Reeds whilst we enjoy afternoon tea 'african queen style'.

Passing the town of Clayton whilst we cruise past the tributaries of the Finniss River and Currency Creek, we complete our circumnavigation at the Historic River Port of Goolwa.
