What you can expect

Get to know 300 years' worth of San Antonio history on this tour through the confluence of cultures and architecture that makes the city unique. A bus ride shows you landmarks and hotspots around downtown, all while you pick up facts about its origins and take part in some Texas trivia games.

Aboard the roomy tour bus, and get to know the friendly guides who liven up the ride with games and trivia that enrich your insight into the sights you pass by. At each stop, a unique audio experience combines narration and sound effects to take you back through the events that shaped its history.

Your first stop is at HemisFair Park, site of the 1968 World's Fair, where you get a look back at the exposition of cultures that converged on the city. Just a few blocks away, you visit the charming La Villita Historic Arts Village and get a look at the city's dynamic theater district, and then the bus carries you along the route that John F. Kennedy's parade took on the day before his fateful trip to Dallas.

After your guide shares the history of bluesman Robert Johnson's recordings at the Gunter Hotel, pay a visit to the Cathedral of San Fernando, one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States. Check out the nearby Spanish Governor's Palace before shopping at El Mercado, the largest Mexican market in the country. You can choose to end your tour here or take one more ride out to the Alamo for a look at the city's most famous landmark.
