What you can expect

Treat yourself to an amazing experience of watching majestic humpback whales in their Pacific habitat. Every winter, numerous pods of these magnificent creatures make a trip from the cold waters of Alaska to the warm, shallow waters of Hawaii, to breed, calve, and nurse their young.

Depart from Lahaina, board your comfortable vessel, and cruise out along the coast in search of humpbacks. Keep an eye out on the horizon for breaching whales, splashing tail slaps, and the spouting sprays of blowholes as you make your way through the waters of the bay.

Hear about the social and adaptive behaviors of whales from a team of certified marine naturalists and biologists. You can even listen to the mournful keening and chirping of melodic whale songs through a hydrophone. Younger guests may want to join in on the Junior Naturalist program to receive a fun and educational kids' booklet and learn more about these great creatures.
