Overview

We will be having authentic Malaysian cuisine around KL area.

As we believe that trying local food is an essential part of immersing oneself in the local culture. To fully experience the diverse food culture of Malaysia, we intend to bring you to try Malay, Chinese, and Indian cuisine. We firmly believe that great food doesn't have to come at a high price; it simply needs to be delicious.

Our food adventure will kick off in the morning with the classic Malaysian dish, “nasi lemak,” which is a favorite among locals. We will then proceed to Chinatown to sample the famous “chee cheong fun” and “cat's eye” drink, both of which are iconic to the region. After enjoying a heavy breakfast, we will take a leisurely stroll around Chinatown before visiting a popular spot to savor street coffee, tea, or juice while taking in the Instagram-worthy sights. We will also tour around Little India and indulge in the traditional Indian dish, “roti canai.”

In the morning, we will start off by tasting every Malaysians' favourite - "nasi lemak" Nasi lemak is a traditional dish that is popular in Malaysia, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian countries. The name "nasi lemak" literally translates to "fatty rice" in Malay, which refers to the coconut milk that is used to cook the rice. Nasi lemak typically consists of a serving of coconut milk-infused rice that is cooked with pandan leaves, which impart a sweet and fragrant aroma. The rice is usually served with a variety of toppings, including fried or grilled chicken or fish, fried anchovies, sliced cucumbers, roasted peanuts, and a spicy chili sauce called sambal. Other common accompaniments to nasi lemak include boiled or fried eggs, crispy fried anchovies (known as ikan bilis), and sliced fresh vegetables such as tomatoes or lettuce. Nasi lemak is often eaten as a hearty breakfast dish, although it can also be enjoyed at any time of the day.

Check-in, enjoy light breakfast at Andaman Smile Travel Welcome Then, we will hop off to Chinatown to try the famous iconic "chee cheong fun" and "cat's eye" drink. Chee cheong fun is a Cantonese-style rice noodle roll that is often served as a breakfast or snack food in Southeast Asia. The rice noodle rolls are made from a thin sheet of rice flour batter that is steamed and then rolled up and cut into bite-sized pieces. They are typically served with a variety of sauces and fillings, such as soy sauce, hoisin sauce, shrimp, barbecued pork, scallions, or Chinese broccoli. Cat's eye drink, on the other hand, is a sweet and refreshing beverage that is popular in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia and Singapore. The drink is made from shaved ice, syrup, and a type of small, dark-colored fruit called longan. The longan fruit is soaked in a syrup made from sugar and pandan leaves before being added to the drink.

Tour around Little India and savour the traditional "roti canai". Roti canai is a type of flatbread that is popular in Malaysia, Singapore, and other parts of Southeast Asia. The name "roti canai" is derived from the Tamil word "roti," which means bread, and the Malay word "canai," which means to roll out or flatten. Roti canai is made from a dough that is typically composed of flour, water, and a small amount of oil or ghee. The dough is kneaded until it is smooth and elastic, and then it is stretched and folded repeatedly to create multiple layers. The dough is then flattened into a thin sheet, and it is cooked on a hot griddle or skillet until it is golden brown and crispy. Roti canai is typically served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as curry, dhal, or a spicy sambal sauce. Roti canai is a popular breakfast or snack food, and it is often sold at street vendors, food courts, and restaurants.
