Description

Go for a climb and get one of the best views in Cape Town as you rappel down the slopes of Table Mountain. This abseiling experience takes you on a 367-foot (112-m) controlled descent and makes a great introduction to Cape Town's most magnificent landmark.

Your starting point is along the mountain's famously flat summit, right next to the scenic cable car line. That puts you a full 3,280 feet (1 km) above sea level, and the sheer drop has you rappelling into vertical space as soon as you step over the edge.

Get started after a quick safety briefing from your highly qualified guides, and then get the rope fastened to begin your descent. On your way down, you're surrounded by incredible views of the deep blue Atlantic Ocean and the South African coast, with the city and Camps Bay Beach directly below you.

Once you reach the bottom, a steep hike brings you back to the top of the mountain and gives you a little more time to admire the terrific sights. Make the most of your visit to the cape as you appreciate the 360-degree views from the highest point around.

A fantastic opportunity to get the very best view from the top table mountain whilst you descend on a rope. You're in safe hands with the staff always having hold of your safety line and leaving you to make your way down the rock face at your own speed. Be advised - there's a 15-30 minute walk (depending on fitness level) back up to the upper cable car station after your abseil. Have a blast!
