We really enjoyed our day cruise to the BVI with Breakaway. It was a perfect day, hiking through The Baths at Virgin Gorda, snorkeling at Norman Island and drinking Painkillers at the Soggy Dollar Bar at Jost Van Dyke. Upon arrival at Virgin Gorda, they transfer you by open air taxi to The Baths and you hike through the beautiful rock formations. Having water shoes helped. Most of the spots were no more than calf deep. They described it as "moderate" exertion, but us seniors were just fine, needing only a little help in a couple trickier spots. Lunch followed at the Top of the Baths. The snorkeling at the Norman caves was fantastic. You will need to swim into Jost. Swimming back was a little harder, but they throw you a float and reel you in! We found the crew to be quite entertaining and very knowledgeable. This was the most economical way as a couple, to see some of the BVI in one day. We had a magical cruise and highly recommend Breakaway!

The trip was great and the crew even better. Make sure you wear a shoe that is not slippery on the bottom for the hike through the baths on Virgin Gorda. Those who wore sandals just took them off and went barefoot. The hike brings you through thigh high water and was super cool. Lunch was at a very clean restaurant at the top of the hill where we started our hike. We went snorkeling and then to Jost Van Dyke. Great day.

The trip was itself was good. Staff was professional and friendly. I have two issues. The first is lunch, orders were taking on the boat ride for a restaurant onto of the baths. In short the food was mediocre and overpriced. My problem with it was it was kinda the only option. My advice is if you can hold off another hour or so wait until you go to soggy dollar beach and eat lunch there. Still a little pricey but based on how good the drinks were im sure the food is also good. Which brings me to my second petty complaint, the drink on the boat were weak. Obviously I would expect it to be a little watered down but this was basically juice. All in all it was a good trip just wish there was a little more time a lotted for the stop at the baths and less for the lunch. I would go again.
