Description

Explore the Philippines' distinct culture and heritage at Villa Escudero Plantations. During your tour of the vast 2,000 acres (800 ha) of the plantations, ride aboard a carabao (native water buffalo) before you visit the plantation’s museum and have lunch at the waterfalls.

Relax as you roam through the countryside to the Villa Escudero Plantation, a quaint, popular villa showcasing the agricultural history and culture of the Philippines. After you climb aboard a traditional carabao cart, your guide shares the history of this exquisite coconut plantation and a local band plays.

At the plantation’s museum, see the Escudero family’s historic artifacts, antique furniture, and World War II relics. Break for a delicious buffet lunch with the cascading Labasin Dam waterfalls in the background, then stroll through the villa or swim in the spring-fed pools.

The sample buffet lunch menu includes chicken tanola soup, vegetable salad and a choice of roasted chicken, beef calderata, grilled tilapia and pork barbecue and a lovely dessert.

Overall we had a wonderful time, the highlight was touring the museum and rafting on the river. The waterfall is man made so a bit disappointing. Lunch was excellent really delicious. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared her insight and history to modern day.

When I booked this tour I was thinking of a nice, unique lunch... nothing more. Boy was I mistaken! Villa Escudero has a lot more to offer and that was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know they had a museum, a water park, a couple of pools with lodging, a huge Filipino-Style Pavilion, bamboo raft activity, incredible gardens, restaurants, etc. They even had a cultural show!!! Our tourist guide Roland or Toto was very knowledgeable! He gave us tips and lessons about the park and the Philippines in general in a very fun way during the trip to the venue. My son grew up in Los Angeles and he said this was the highlight of our 6 day stay in Manila! There is a sort of cabin or coffee house adjacent to the river with incredible views of the forest across... you sip your coffee while admiring the view for a little quiet time. That was the best part for me. Will come back soon with the rest of the family.
