Description

Dress comfortably, and bike around the monuments and memorials on the National Mall and Potomac Tidal Basin while your professional guide shares the inspiring history and surprising facts of each site.

During this 3-hour ride, you get the opportunity to explore the iconic monuments of the capital, including the Jefferson Memorial whose statue stands 19-feet (5.7-m) tall under an impressive, classical-revival mausoleum. You also get to ride past the Washington Monument, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, and World War 2 Memorial.

Pay your respects at the Vietnam Veteran Memorial as you observe the 58,000 U.S. soldiers’ names engraved on the V-shaped black granite wall, which remind everyone of all the heroes who died protecting the nation.

No trip to Washington, D.C. is complete without a picture in front of the White House. Park your bike, and learn how this magnificent building changed names multiple times until President Theodore Roosevelt officially named it “The White House” in 1901.

This is the only way to see the Washington monument and memorials. It is a beautiful and easy bike ride and you get time to go into the various monuments. The bike ride itself is a lot of fun. Our guide Brian was great! He had a lot of inside factoids on each of the monuments and Adams, Washington, and Jefferson. I would highly suggest you go off-season. We had no crowds and got an unusually cool early September day. Hubby and I both loved it!

Cameron was an excellent tour guide. Me and my wife were the only ones at the time, so it was a more personalized experience. This is the best way to know the monuments as you get time to walk around them and explore on your own.
