This hotel and casino just feels straight up grimy. The entire building has an odd smell including the guest rooms (smoking is allowed in some areas, which doesn't help, but it's more than that somehow). It has a lot of inexplicably dark and empty spaces that give you a feeling of unease (like you could probably be mugged and nobody would see). Parking garage feels unsafe. The route to the pool/gym is so strange: it's kind of like walking through a bunker that we would hide congress in if a nuclear war broke out. Low ceilings, poor lighting, cheap looking decor on the walls. It seems just as likely that you're being lead to slaughter as you are headed to a relaxing pool. The pool area has a cold and barren feel just like everything else. Like, picture East Germany behind the iron curtain: lots of concrete... dreary is good descriptor for everything about this building. I used to put up with it, because the price is usually low and they have the only poker room in town. Now the poker room is closed 3 days a week and they shut it down at 2 AM no matter how many tables are going. The final straw... the reason I won't visit this place anymore is the staff. There is a general feeling that nobody really cares, and they're badly understaffed a lot of the time. It took forever to get a cocktail while playing poker, some of the dealers are clearly inexperienced, most people you talk to don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "hospitality", food is bad, just not worth it.
