I got in late and while plugging in my hair curler the wall socket in the bathroom sparked and all of the lights in the bathroom went off. Couldn’t find the circuit breaker and the receptionist said no one was around to help. It wasn’t until the next morning that someone was able to check it out and turn the lights back on. ON TOP OF THAT, because I couldn’t use the bathroom, I had to use the plug in the kitchen on the wall to do my hair before checking out of the hotel. After plugging in my curler, the socket sparked a flame and burned the wire right off my curler and embedded particles into my hand and wrist. After calling the front desk and having a manager come check it out, she said she would get back to me about the situation and about my pricey curler now completely dead and unusable due to all of their faulty electrical outlets, and I have not heard anything from them yet. It’s unfortunate because the staff I interacted with were kind for the most part. The late night receptionist seemed a bit annoyed by me asking questions on how to enter the hotel (it was my first time taking a road trip solo and with my dog), but still helped me figure it out. Its a great location and the place itself is clean and “looks” nice, but maybe another place near by that won’t spark a flame and kill your hair devices would be better.
