Beautiful resort with super friendly staff. Ana and Alex from entertainment were great! The pool bar was awesome, but it was hard to find chairs near the pool as they'd all be taken early in the morning. The buffet never disappointed, but I would have loved some more a la carte options (and for larger portions at these restaurants). Overall a very relaxing stay with a clean beach and good access to the ocean.

Amazing. Annual trip with my daughter. We have been going to different places in Mexico over the years. We will be returning here for sure. It’s beautiful and inviting and not a mega resort. We treated ourselves to a lovely suite with a double balcony with ocean view. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We spent our six days lounging in comfort on the beach. Service from the bar was spot on. We were also able to order food up until the last day when apparently people who couldn’t appreciate the fact they were on vacation in this beautiful place and complained the food was slow in coming. They solved that by no longer offering it. This was a convenient extra that we certainly appreciated and I hope there will be enough gracious people that they will return to that service. All of those we interacted with from front desk, housekeeping, concierge, and servers were great. Haven’t even been home two weeks and long to return!

We had 5 nights at Marival and it turned out to be a very disappointing stay. Checked in around 5pm, staff confirmed we have a King Bed/ Garden view. Then handed over to the 'time share rep' who drew all over the map and did their best to sell... something. We then discovered we had 2 double beds, called reception and were told - tough, we have nothing else call tomorrow at 5pm.' The room (3413) was in a bad state drainage in the shower not working, bathroom scratched up and towel rack coming off the wall. That night... We slept in separate beds and had neighbours who'd obviously taken advantage of unlimited drinks and howled until 2am. The next day reception told us they would call the room at 5 to tell us what new room we'd be allocated. Breakfast was good, the only day fresh Chilaquiles were available. 5pm came and went, called reception and they had no record of our issue. A king bed was found with connecting doors in the same building. We were un able to sleep until 1am for the rest of the trip on account of laughing and shouting next door. Not all bad as pools are nice, all infinity pool loungers reserved by 7am so be quick. Divium and Essence were ok but food extremely limited for vegetarians. Even chases and meets are mixed for dinner service. All in all disappointed but was relaxing to do nothing by the pool - sure you could have the same experiences for a significantly lower price.

I went for a morning jog on the beach (7:30am) and it was glorious. I ran south for about 25 minutes and didn’t see anybody else until I turned back. It felt like true paradise.

Loved the location and the layout of this resort. The grounds are spectacular and the beach is beautiful. We stayed in a one bedroom Bahia suite in building 3. It was great - clean and extremely spacious. Housekeeping was good, but somewhat inconsistent (some days they didn't come). Some minor maintenance issues like drains not draining and having no hot water for a day and a half, but nothing that stopped us from having a great time. Our biggest disappointment was the food. I am vegan and was assured before, during and after booking that they could accommodate my dietary needs. While they did accommodate, the ONLY options were fresh fruit, salads, and pasta with tomato sauce. This got very tiring after a few days. Our expectations were higher give what we'd paid and because this is labelled as a "luxury", "wellness" resort. There was little to no plant based proteins available in any restaurant (plain almonds at breakfast buffet and on 2 days only there were beans at the salad bar). My partner (not vegan) found the other food, in general, mediocre. Definitely room for improvement with the food options, overall. Service was mostly good. This resort has a lot of potential but, for us, did not meet the requirements to be considered "luxury" as it is named.
