Staff are friendly and kind but the building itself is in need of repair and maintenance. The shower hot water would turn cold within a min and a half and you would have to turn it off and on and then wait for the hot water to flow again. The bathrooms were in poor condition with patchwork repairs unfinished. The elevator did not work. It would bounce at the floor and take so long to open that you are stricken with fear that you will get stuck in it. though one person did get stuck in it for a few mins before it started up again. The elevators and halls smell like pot smoke which was fine for me but my wife hated it. This hotel seemed like it was hotel for the homeless, again not an issue unless they are screaming at each other, which did happen. The hotel is pet friendly which is great but if you are a dog person allergic to cats you need to let them know to put you on the 4th or 5th floor and only on the restaurant side (even numbers) as the freeway noise may keep you up otherwise. Last but not least... not great breakfast options, just mediocre.
