Great experience but a bit too pricey considering the antique utilities. I couldn’t shower after my boyfriend since the water never went down the drain. The heater & ac don’t work but they warn you at check in. They charge $200 for damage (it’ll be refunded after they check the room), $30 a day for parking which I think if you’re staying at the hotel, it should be waived. And $18.95 a night for historical preservation fee. It all adds up and when it does it turns into “at least we did it once”. Besides the pricing & utilities, it was beautiful and fun.

We enjoyed the property but we had an inconvenient. I asked the housekeeper if they clean rooms, she told me as long as I make a request at the front desk; which I immediately did. Even though I asked at the front desk and the clerk told me yes, when we came back to the room, they had only taken the trash and gave us towels (ever since Covid hotels get away with this important part of the service, owners need to understand when people is out on vacation we don’t want to clean our own room, clean rooms have always been part of the hospitality service) so of course I came back and had to fix my own bed… it was disappointing. We aren’t in a pandemic anymore; you need to hire staff give them hours do what you have to do so that you can provide the service your guest deserves and pays for.
