Happy Place, on Beech Mountain, is just 3.2 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, hosting outdoor activities year-round for the whole family. In winter, you will find your favorite activities like skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. In summer, guests can experience award-winning mountain bike trails, hiking, disc golf, and scenic lift rides. Buckeye Lake Recreation Area is 1 mile away, with fishing, basketball, tennis courts, a playground, and a hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. The Village of Beech Mountain is about three miles away and offers local dining and shopping. The town of Banner Elk is a 20-minute drive with attractions like Banner Elk Winery and Vineyard, the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.

Happy Place is an elegant mountain cabin with exposed beams, tongue-and-groove walls, and ceilings. This thoughtfully designed home can accommodate twelve guests and plenty of room for the whole family, with two living areas, multiple game tables, and two decks with mountain views. The kitchen is well-stocked and is open to the dining room and living room, making for easy entertaining. The dining room has vaulted ceilings and seating for twelve around a beautiful farmhouse table. The main living area has a comfortable sectional around a rock fireplace with gas logs and a Smart TV. The deck, accessible from the dining or living rooms, is sure to be your favorite place to enjoy the fresh mountain air while dining at the covered outdoor dining table. Grill your next meal on the gas grill or Blackstone gas griddle. Downstairs, guests will find a second living area with a large sectional with powered recliners at each end. Guests of all ages will enjoy a friendly game at the pool table, shuffleboard table, or arcade machine. Relax in the hot tub after a day of exploring, or roast marshmallows for S'mores at the fire pit.

This spacious cabin has five bedrooms, including three suites. The top-floor master suite has vaulted ceilings, a king bed, a Smart TV, and an ensuite bathroom. On the main level, two king bedrooms with Smart TVs share a Jack-N-Jill bathroom with double vanities and a step-in shower. One of the bedrooms has desk space for remote work. The lower level has two additional suites. The king bedroom has a Smart TV, a sitting area to enjoy your morning coffee with a book, and a private bathroom with double vanities. The second bedroom on this floor has sleeping spots for five in the full-over-queen bunk bed with a twin trundle and an ensuite bathroom with dual vanities and a step-in shower.

Additional amenities include WiFi, a main floor half bath/powder room, Roku TVs where guests can log into their streaming accounts, and radiant heating. The dining room has a mini-split and is the only area of the home with air conditioning. The covered parking and entrance make for easy loading and unloading. Pets are welcome with your reservation, with an additional pet fee. Please be advised that exterior security cameras are in place. AWD or 4WD and snow chains are highly recommended for winter travelers.
