We checked in to Unit 102 and checked out of Bird Rock within 40 min after having the following issues: Bugs in kitchen area, mold on bathroom ceiling, no hot water, insufficient electrical power to use a blow dryer, slow drain in shower, view of wall and material/supplies/pipes, open outlets showing rough wiring. I photographed the areas, requested a refund which they refused as this was prepaid through Travelocity, indicated their manager was not available on New Years Eve and then offered another room. We rejected the offered room and checked out.

My stay at this hotel was awesome. I love that is an older hotel with individual buildings and not a big lobby and elevators, It gave me that residential feel. A real home away from home.I love that I could stay in bed and watch the ships on the water. I had a basic room which was OK but looking forward to going back and upgrading my next room. The price was good and room service was excellent.They just need a small refrigerator in the basic room for cold drinks at least. The food at the restaurant was good and the prices were reasonable.

The property is old and very much in need of a remodel. The room had no coffee. The internet connection was sporadic but did work if you are patient. The food is expensive in the restaurant but good. The staff were very friendly. The beach 🏖 near the hotel is not worth going to.

It was not the best. It needs improvements .

I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone. Dull sheets and towels couple of days without hot water. No lights on front and back porch sliding door not working. Window handle broken. Offered another room and it was not even cleaned up. So stayed in original room. For the amount of money i was charge for 8 night's it was not worth it! Restaurant was a joke!

“November visit - Great scuba diving. Wonderful friendly service”

We travelled to St. Kitts from Nov. 11 - 17. Upon our arrival, I was disappointed in the conditions of the hotel and our room. There were a few minor maintenance issues that were handled for us. The hotel could definitely use a fresh coat of paint everywhere. The grounds are very lush and tropical, so that does make up for a lot. Then we met ABC (Captain XYZ) who heads up the dive operations and he gave us a tour of how Hurricane Earl really did a lot of damage to the property and completely took out the beach. Hopefully by the high season, the hotel, Rocky's Bar, and the beach will be back to normal. After the first night in a very comfortable bed and waking to a beautiful view from the balcony, I was much more acclimated to the hotel. The staff is friendly and are more than willing to do anything to make you feel welcome. My husband did four days of diving and a night dive with Captain ABC and had a very good time and some terrific diving which was very much up to the Caribbean standards of marine life and visibility. Everywhere we went in St. Kitts the people were friendly and smiling. We have also been surprised that the cost for groceries and eating out has been reasonable. If we return to St. Kitts, I can't imagine we would stay anywhere else. If you plan to come here soon, hopefully, everything will be back to normal from the hurricane damage. We were able to book this room at a very low price from Travel Website. The Bird Rock met all of our requirements for a good stay - great location, wonderful staff, kitchen, nice pool. Dive Shop and a very comfortable bed.

Avoid this place at all costs.

Our dive club stayed here from June 20 to 27 Misery as follows: Basic room was clean and maid service was good Bathroom was in need of repair Door could not fully close Mildew on bath tub tile Dead bugs on several surfaces Food was very blah and repetitive Wine selection was bredb or bwhiteb White was terrible, red was unfit for human consumption Only one poorly-trained waitress for a party of 25 Juice served at the end of breakfast Coffee not ready at the end of dinner Buffet quantities not adequate for 21 hungry scuba divers Some nights, late arrivals did not get any of the entrC)e and management didnbt care The bartender was the most unfriendly man Ibve ever seen Constant confusion about what was and wasnbt included in our ball inclusive packageb Even a waitress was frustrated by the contradictions Part of the safety railing was missing on a very steep stairway with uneven steps The pool swim-up bar never had a bartender Our group of 25 prepaid all inclusive arrived at 2:30 PM and there was no lunch provision for travelers who had been on the move since 3:00 AM The wedding fountain may have been lovely 20 years ago but is now a mosquito breeding pond
