Old fashioned charm
We couldn’t fault the customer service, friendliness, rooms and meals we had at the Shamrock Hotel. A lovely old building. So glad we booked here instead of a sterile hotel room.

Love the old-world charm of the Shamrock and hope maintenance and restoration can ultimately be completed. Had a really great spag carbonara in the dining room. All facilities were working and reception was very helpful. It was quite a warm night but the aircon was too noisy to leave running - reported to maintenance. Only one electric vehicle charging station working. All-in-all a very pleasant stay.

Great location
Old time grandeur and history. Well furnished in the Spa Suite- Dame Nellie Melba. Large and comfortable room overlooking original Bendigo Post Office. Great location in centre of town on tram route. Pub meals were good.

Loved the old world aesthetics of hotel, though badly in need of TLC. Dining room cute and inviting. Cleanliness of room was inconsistent. Bathroom needed a better clean (cob webs, wall tiles had dust/film on them, floor stained from wine??, makeup smeared around door architraves). Bed very comfortable and clean. Room was comfortable.
