Nice resort on the beach

I had a great time hanging at the pool, playing golf, going for a run, relaxing. It was the end of rainy season and I was told that the season doesn't rain so much into March like it did. It rained at times to the point that pool/beach wasn't a great option. But the cooler weather made golf and my run a lot more enjoyable. The highs were around 27-30C. My deluxe room was pretty large (especially coming from Tokyo); it faced the ocean at a bit of an angle but definitely ocean view - could also see the pool and pool/bar restaurant area. I didn't have a private deck which is the only thing I missed. The resort was nice not posh but with a couple of restaurants on property and a shuttle to several others at adjacent/related properties. I went out to the Indonesian restaurant next door by shuttle and had a great Indonesian chicken dinner there. I was picked up for golf at nearby Laguna course, had a fun and very fast round, caddy included in the green fee. I had a quick lunch and beer there; the food was perfectly fine. There has been some mention that the food is expensive on the resort. Generally compared to town that was true but not compared to other resorts. I didn't go into town, but the shuttle goes there as well, and takes around thirty minutes each way. I heard that food was 1/2 or 1/3 the price. I suspect beer prices don't go down that much. A moot point since I didn't even bother getting any Rupiah. I paid by credit card or charges to the room, tipped in SG$.
