The space
After a day of exploring the mountains or desert around Escalante, wash the trail dust off in a warm shower and let your muscles recover during a peaceful nights rest on the queen size bed. Open the windows at night to experience the 30-40 degree cooldown from the warm temperature of the daytime and the night sounds of a rural community. View the expanse of space from the back patio. Small but didn't matter.
Little house was small in stature but huge in comfort and coziness. Only stayed one nite but could have spent more time for sure. Immaculate and well equipped. Had all amenities needed. Bed very comfortable.

Cute little house!
This was the perfect spot for two adults. The furniture was comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is some interesting history to the house itself that the host provided. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Escalante.

Awesome base camp for national parks!
The Little House served as a wonderful central place to call home while we explored Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks, as well as Kodachrome State Park. We had a great time and were happy knowing we had a comfortable place to rest in between. Location is awesome, all parks are within two hours of this little cottage. Everything we need was there. When we had our one and only problem, or host was a quick, responsive problem solver. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

A perfect base for Escalante hiking
We stayed in this sweet little home for 4 nights as a base for multiple big hikes in the Grand Staircase Escalante NM. The location could not be more perfect in terms of proximity to restaurants and groceries, as well as proximity to amazing wilderness and canyons. The house has everything you need, is beautifully decorated and maintained, and Melani responded quickly and graciously to all of our questions. A wonderful stay, we would definitely come again.

Early Spring trek to Grand Staircase
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful two nights at the Little House. We had everything we needed and Melani was great to provide a heads up on the access to the local grocery store since we came in late on a Sunday. Enjoyed hiking to the falls near Lower Calf Creek and would book again for sure. If you are lucky enough to get a taste her cookies, they are amazing. :) Walt Hammett

Perfect for two
We loved the little house! Everything we needed in a nice compact cozy space. Host was very kind and thoughtful, easy to communicate with. We had access to the garden right at the end of the season and were lucky enough to pick ripe apples from the tree in back. The location was absolutely perfect as a base for hiking in Grand Staircase - Escalante and Capitol Reef National Park. Very comfortable bed with really nice handmade quilts. Highly recommended.
