Unfortunately, the woman helping me check in was unfriendly. The room was tidy, the bed linens felt clean however there was an unsavory “smelly feet” scent. A few outlets did not work and the large lamp (a main light source) also did not work. We ate earlier at El Tovar and decided to try out the food court at the Maswik lodge. We purchasing the pizza however we were told the oven had broke down. The Mexican food we ended up purchasing was expensive and very bland. As we ate, an employee who was cleaning the dining room loudly expressed her disapproval of guests waiting till the last minute to eat. It was a very unpleasant experience overall. We will definitely encourage others to stay elsewhere. We will try another resort when we visit next time.
