Late season

Excellent and great location. We went to great restaurants comparing world wide and only drove once. Bar look needs to go from '80s to '20s or 2015 contemporary western like JH hotel up the street. Currently it is tacky but the staff was still good.

Agreat Place to Stay in Jackson Hole more in summer than winter, perhaps

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The quality of the hotel is excellent, the staff very helpful and agreeable, housemaids very attentive, restaurant good quality and value, in the middle of the town. Skiiers might prefer staying in Teton Village, but otherwise, Jackson Hole is the place.

I will stay at the Wort Hotel again on future trips.

The room was very comfortable and had all the typical amenities and more. The staff was exceptionally friendly.

astounding that they can charge this much for a hotel with so little character

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Noisy
we're astounded that a hotel with a 4-diamond rating, as well as being considered a "historic hotel of America"can charge top prices for a facility that has so little character. Originating in 1941 is not particularly old, and having been rebuilt in the 1980's (and looking like it# doesn't say much for its architectural history. The main stairway, as well as the furnishings in the main lobby, are nice, but the hallways and our room were terribly disappointing. The hallways, with the commercial carpet and cheap light fixtures, have about as much charm as a Hamptons Inn. The room wasn't any better, with the same cheap commercial carpet, terribly stained and dingy; lighting that had no character or function; two full-height units of display shelves next to the TV that were completely empty; the cheapest Home Depot-grade wall tile in the bathroom, poor quality wifi, etc. I think the topper was that the extra large room #a "free" upgrade# had ONE SINGLE WINDOW in the entire suite. The window overlooked the back alley, with a couple hours of noisy trash-retrieval commotion the next morning. There are no good views from anywhere in this little two-story building. In comparison to their 4-diamond-quality competition, we cannot understand how they can possibly charge the rates they do for a facility that has so little character or charm. and in off-season #or at least shoulder season) no less. The other guests who rated this hotel highly must have stayed in one of the hand-full of luxury suites, or else they just don't get out much.

The hotel provided a very comfortable environment

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
Although we had nothing for wonderful things to say about the staff unfortunately the location of our room was a bit of an issue as it was located facing the back street where every day between 7 and 7:30 we were woken up by the reverse beeping of either delivery or garbage trucks.

AMAZING!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
We stayed at The Wort in February of 2012. We went snowmobiling in Yellowstone, and stayed there two days before and one after our trip. Both times, they upgraded our rooms. We stayed in the Cowboy Suite the first time, and the Cowgirl the second time. Both room are incredibly beautiful. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, the food in the Silver Dollar and the the little breakfast area were both good too. We loved it so much we are definitely staying there next time. Already planning our trip for 2013. Also, easy walking distance from everything in Jackson Hole, and right around the block from the Town Square. We walked everywhere. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
What a beautiful hotel with a very professional staff. Unfortunately the Silver Dollar bar which is operated by the hotel ruins the magnificence!
