Wouldn’t stay here again.
To start, I showed up at 3 as they specified that they couldn’t offer me an earlier check in due to the cleaning crew. They didn’t finished until 3:30. There isn’t ANYTHING in the kitchen to cook or eat with. Not one pan or plate. Might as well have stayed at a hotel with daily cleaning and room service. There was mold in the bathroom closet and the only tub/shower in the house wouldn’t drain so we all had to bathe in each other’s left over water. And to top it off, check out was 10am on the dot. They were waiting in the driveway at 10am for us to leave. I get that they need to get the house cleaned, but they weren’t accommodating at all. I’ve stayed in dozens of VRBO homes… this was by far the worst one I’ve encountered.

Quietly close to the beach
We were going to arrive a little early, and easily got the pin to check in after a 13 hour drive. This was more than enough space for a family of four. All amenities are in decent working order, and the property is well maintained. A three-minute walk to the beach allowed for many pit stops back to the house during the course of extended beach days. This was a perfect way to spend time in Jacksonville.

Failure to update website results in double booking. Owner canceled my reservation on day of arrival
Booked property after messaging owner & verifying property dates were available. Booked the day before I was to leave. During payment, VRBO split my payment and the owner sent me a message that the remaining balance was to be paid upon arrival at the property. After 4 attempts at calling VRBO to pay for the trip in full before travel, we were finally able to complete the transactions. It made no sense why this was an issue as check in was literally the next day after booking. The aggravation was that when clicking the button to pay in full it kept kicking me back to booking and VRBO was having difficulty finding the solution. When preparing to travel the next morning I discovered I’d received an email cancellation due to double booking. Unfortunately, failure to keep the website updated left myself and family stranded with no place to stay that accommodated our needs as you cannot SAME DAY BOOK with VRBO unless a special request to the owner is approved. So each property search was an extra message without results. It was the most ridiculous experience I’ve EVER had using VRBO and it truly left a distaste for using it again. Highly dissatisfied with the care and consideration shown. Severely disappointed with the owner/mgr of this property. Poor management and guest care. WHAT IS THE POINT OF SENDING A MESSAGE REQUESTING IF PROPERTY DATES ARE AVAILABLE -PRIOR TO BOOKING- IF THEY CAN’T BE ACCURATE WITH THE ANSWER ?? ***Don’t know if clean or good area

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Love the close proximity to the beach and there was plenty of space for my family. We only encountered two issues with our stay. First, the listing states that the house sleeps five. With the king bed and two twin beds, it really only sleeps four. This was disappointing as there are five of us in my family. Second, there was an odd smell in the kitchen/dining area that persisted despite wall plugins and air freshener/opening windows. The smell was like a wet dog/mold smell. The issues were minor overall and we would rent again.

Perfect location
This apartment has everything you need for your stay. Its in a perfect location for the beach , it’s just steps away. Mayo Clinic is 10 minutes away and whole foods just a 5 minute drive. We had a great time and would stay again .
